Sanuk Brand Tech Page

Sanuk was founded in 1997 in sunny Southern California when Jeff Kelley had an inspiration to make creative outdoor shoes out of innovative, environmentally friendly materials. He began by creating shoes out of indoor-outdoor carpet and inner tubes. Due to the creativity and designs of the Sanuk shoes, it has since grown into a global outdoor community following best known for their infamous sidewalk surfers also known as
not-a-shoe”. While encouraging creativity, Sanuk also promotes respect for natural resources, fair, safe and healthy workplaces and the use of sustainable materials.

Sanuk is now styling their shoes with the addition of more recycled material such as yoga mats and canvas. In 2010, Sanuk was also awarded SIMA’s
footwear product of the year” for their original and renowned yoga mat sandals. Sanuk continues to inspire creativity and positivity through their promotion of positive lifestyle. The goal of Sanuk shoes is to provide creatively inspired yet thoughtfully designed products for the global outdoor community. Their company slogan says it all;Smile, pass it on!”.
